At LifLen ("we", "us", or "our"), safeguarding your privacy is not just a regulatory requirement—it is the core architecture of our software. This Privacy Policy describes how LifLen Desktop and the LifLen Platform collect, use, and process your information.

1. The "Local-First" Architecture

LifLen differentiates itself from traditional cloud software by processing the majority of logic locally on your device.

Agent Execution: All Python script execution, including file manipulation (Excel, Word), system shell commands, and file creation, occurs strictly on your local machine. Your files are NOT uploaded to our servers for processing.
Audio Processing: We utilize speech-to-text technologies that may require transmitting transient audio data to secure third-party processors (e.g., Google Cloud). This data is not stored permanently and is used solely for transcription.

2. Data We Collect

A. Information You Provide

Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address, name, and billing details (processed via our secure payment provider).
User Content (Transient): When you use features like "Visual Mode" or "Screen Intelligence," LifLen captures a temporary screenshot of your active window or specific screen regions. This image is held in ephemeral memory (RAM) and transmitted securely to our AI providers (see Section 3) solely for analysis. It is discarded immediately after the request is completed.

B. Automatically Collected Information

Usage Telemetry: We collect anonymous crash reports and basic usage statistics (e.g., "Excel Command Used") to improve reliability. This data does not contain the *content* of your files or commands.
Device Information: We may collect your OS version and hardware specifications to ensure compatibility.

3. Artificial Intelligence & Third-Party Processors

LifLen acts as an interface between you and advanced Large Language Models (LLMs). By using LifLen, you acknowledge that specific data must be transmitted to these providers to generate responses.

AI Providers: We currently utilize Google Gemini and other enterprise-grade models for intelligence.
Zero-Training Policy: We have configured our enterprise agreements to ensure that your data is NOT used to train the public models of our AI providers. Your queries remain your property.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. We do NOT retain:

Screenshots captured during Visual Mode (Ephemeral).
The contents of files processed by the Agent (Local Only).
Audio recordings (Transcribed and discarded).

5. Security

We employ industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.2+) for all data in transit. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. You acknowledge that you use the software at your own risk.

6. Streamer Mode & Privacy Shield

LifLen includes a "Streamer Mode" feature designed to mask sensitive information on the overlay. While this feature is robust, it is a visual aid and not a guarantee against all forms of data leakage during screen sharing. Users remain responsible for checking their screen before broadcasting.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our technology or legal requirements. Significant changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notification.
